New sustainable building for Seville’s municipal water company
The Seville Metropolitan Water Supply and Sanitation Company (Emasesa) has inaugurated a new operations center in San José de la Rinconada. The facility, which includes a basement and two above-ground floors, has been constructed in accordance with advanced sustainability standards.
The basement level serves as a parking area and is now equipped with electric vehicle charging stations. To further reduce energy consumption, photovoltaic panels have been installed on the south-facing façade and the roof. The building also features a fully ventilated façade made of aluminum, incorporating double-glazed laminated safety glass with argon gas, providing enhanced thermal insulation and acoustic performance.
The project, developed by Extraco, was officially inaugurated in early October by the president of Emasesa and mayor of Seville, José Luis Sanz, together with the mayor of La Rinconada, Javier Fernández.
