The Railway Infrastructure Administrator (Adif) has awarded Extraco the repair and improvement works on a tunnel, two viaducts and an underpass along the railway line connecting Sitges and Garraf, in the province of Barcelona (Spain).

The project is aimed at replacing deteriorated elements, repairing existing damage and addressing the underlying causes affecting this section of the railway infrastructure in order to prevent future deterioration.

The works are designed to enhance the long-term durability of the infrastructure and mitigate the impact of marine corrosion and wave action.

The contract also includes improvement works on an underpass located in the center of Sitges, mainly focused on waterproofing the slab and strengthening the structural stability of the facility.
