Extraco’ machinery is ready and available for the winter maintenance of the roads in the province of Ourense.

This construction company is part of the Temporary Business Association (UTE), together with Misturas, responsible for the maintenance of the conventional roads of the Galician Regional Government in this province. The so-called “Winter road plan” has been started with the aim of keeping all the roads belonging to the autonomous community in perfect conditions for the traffic.

The UTE coordinates the works for the entire province from the Preservation Center located in Santa Mariña (Ourense), providing a great range of human and material resources. In addition to the operators who deal with the maintenance works throughout the year, seven new workers have been hired to meet the winter needs. The plan of the Regional Government will be working until 30 April.

Snowplows, with salt and brine spreaders, light vehicles, vans and heavy machinery for eventual actions (trucks and support backhoe loaders) highlight among the equipment available to face the adverse weather during the coldest months of the year.
