In addition to collaborating with various universities in R&D&I projects, Extraco also offers its support in training activities. Hence, at the end of last April, company experts accompanied and guided Civil Engineering students enrolled in  the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela (USC), specifically in the Polytechnic School of Lugo, during a visit to the Richinol quarries in Melide (A Coruña).

Aspiring engineers were able to learn, firsthand, everything about the process of extracting and processing aggregates used in the production of concrete and road surfaces.

With the help from staff at Canteras Are S.L. (a business group that operates the quarry and is one of Extraco’s main suppliers), the students explored the area and the industrial facilities where materials are processed.

On other occasions, similar visits are organized to the hot-mix asphalt plant that Extraco manages in the Chorente industrial area, in Allariz (Ourense).
