Last September, Extraco’s management participated in the meeting of the external scientific advisory committee of the Strategic Partnership of the Center for Technological Innovation in Construction and Civil Engineering (A-CITEEC) of the University of A Coruña (UDC). This committee is made up of renowned institutional and company representatives related to the scientific activities developed by the group, thus giving professional advice on its general strategy in order to strengthen the link with the corporate sector and the collaboration regarding R&D.

Extraco collaborates on a regular basis with this university institution from A Coruña in numerous research projects. Currently, Extraco is actively working with researchers from the Construction Group (gCONS) in the development of the project ‘Alfiller: Recovery of filler material from asphalt plants for developing cement-based eco-products’, selected in the public competitive call Conectapeme 2018 to be cofunded by the Galician Innovation Agency (GAIN) – Regional Ministry of Economy, Employment and Industry of Xunta de Galicia, through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). Extraco has also participated with gCONS in the projects “Biovalvo” and “Cenicienta”, collaborating, as well, with the Water and Environment Engineering Group (GEAMA) in the project “Zeolitas”, regarding wastewater treatment.
