In the last few days, workers of Extraco-Portugal have been working on the reconstruction and fixation of a slope in the Portuguese locality of Penacova, more specifically in the area of Foz de Caneiro, at national road 110 (EN 110). Estradas de Portugal (EP) awarded the works urgently after last 15 January there were landslides over the road, which caused great damage and the closing of the road, as well as the diversion of traffic through alternative routes.

Representatives of EP approved the speed with which the whole administrative procedure to contract the works was completed, estimating that they will be carried out in a period of approximately three months. The complexity of the action requires the use of automated machinery in order to avoid risks for the workers.
