Extraco strengthens its position in Portugal with new construction work

Extraco keeps strengthening its position in Portugal with new construction work. The construction company started its activity in Portugal a decade ago and during the first few years it focused in complete rehabilitation projects of water and transport infrastructures.

It has opened up to new construction markets and taken on the task of rehabilitating and building a new school, the second one in this country. The City Council of Alcochete has entrusted Extraco with the alterations, extension and construction of new buildings for the Elementary School Valbom. The purpose is to have a school that can accommodate 168 students (currently it has a capacity of 96) and include a space for pre-school education for 50 children, since the school does not offer that education level at this moment.

The contract to carry out the work must be completed in 270 days. The existing building will be completely remodeled and its aesthetics will be modified in accordance with the new building for an overall homogenous look.

According to the Portuguese City Council, the rehabilitation and extension of the school will also allow the center to support the local community since its playground and the multi-purpose hall can be used for cultural activities and sports.
