EXTRACO doubles down on its social and environmental commitment by verifying its carbon footprint in accordance with the GHG Protocol

EXTRACO has recently implemented carbon footprint verification for its operating activity in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHG). This is the most widely used corporate standard to measure and monitor greenhouse gas emissions.

By adding this protocol to its operating process, EXTRACO wishes to highlight its social and environmental commitment (given it is a voluntary CSR tool that monitors and quantifies the company’s environmental impact).

EXTRACO relies on AENOR to verify its carbon footprint, with the certification process focusing on two main areas:

Scope 1: Direct greenhouse gas emissions.

Scope 2: Indirect energy-related greenhouse gas emissions.

The implementation of this plan will allow the company to reduce gas emissions and mitigate climate change risks through the application of more efficient and transparent control criteria.
