Extraco completes in Arteixo (A Coruña) the urban development of the bieggest bussiness park of northern Galicia

EXTRACO has completed the urban development of the Business Park of Morás (phase B) in Arteixo (A Coruña). With a surface of more than 600,000 m2, this is the biggest business park of Northern Galicia, and it has been promoted by Xestur, the entity responsible of the soil management of the autonomous region.

The construction work required major blasting operations of the highly rocky natural land and with large-scale earth movements (clearing of 900,000 m3 of rock and 646,000 m3 of dirt) for the construction of eight large and stepped platforms, where the parcels of the companies that will occupy this industrial area will finally be distributed. The material obtained from the blasting was used as fill in the core of the different areas and in the construction of more than 1,500,000 m3 of embankments, which act as containment elements for the set of platforms, reaching a height of 70 m with respect to the natural land.

The works developed by EXTRACO in a joint venture with the companies Civis Global and Canteras Cuadrado included the construction of an 800-meter-long perimeter road with a roundabout, parking areas and all the necessary infrastructure for electricity, sanitation, lighting and irrigation systems, fire prevention and communication networks. The project was completed with the creation of green areas, which will enrich the urban development of the new business park.
