Extraco expands its heavy machinery fleet

Extraco has just expanded its heavy machinery fleet by adding several specialized pieces of equipment for road paving, asphalt aggregate mixes and the conservation of transport infrastructures.

Two of the most important pieces of equipment among them are the Wirtgen milling machine (model 200i) and the Hamm roller (model HD-12). By making these purchases, Extraco aims to upgrade its Asphalt Department, which includes two complete work teams for the installation of asphalt aggregate mixes and two asphalt production plants, for both cold and hot mixes. Furthermore, these new machines will strengthen the company’s industrial activities in the civil construction field.

This operation also includes the purchase of two new John Deere tractors (Model 6115) with hedge cutters (Orsi 555), which will be used for the completion of infrastructure maintenance works, more specifically for the trimming and clearing of roadside vegetation. The company will foreseeably start using said tractors on the conventional roads of Xunta de Galicia in the province of Ourense, whose maintenance and exploitation contract was awarded to Extraco in a joint venture with another company from Ourense.
