The El Ferral firing and maneuvering range, at the RPAS operations center of the Conde de Gazola base, in San Andrés de Rabanedo (León), has a new take-off and landing runway for drones, a project promoted by the General Directorate of Infrastructure of the Ministry of Defense.

In addition to the conditioning and extension of the runway, the work carried out by Extraco included the installation of prefabricated modules for control, maintenance and operations personnel, as well as the infrastructure for the telecommunications connection with the base.

The initiative was designed for the instruction and training of national and foreign military units, and for testing and experimentation with new unmanned aerial systems.
