Hence, at the end of last April, company experts accompanied and guided Civil Engineering students enrolled in \u00a0the <strong>Universidade de Santiago de Compostela (USC)<\/strong>, specifically in the Polytechnic School of Lugo, during a visit to the Richinol quarries in Melide (A Coru\u00f1a).<\/p>\n<p>Aspiring engineers were able to learn, firsthand, everything about the process of extracting and processing aggregates used in the production of concrete and road surfaces.<\/p>\n<p>With the help from staff at <strong>Canteras Are S.L.<\/strong> (a business group that operates the quarry and is one of <strong>Extraco<\/strong>\u2019s main suppliers), the students explored the area and the industrial facilities where materials are processed.<\/p>\n<p>On other occasions, similar visits are organized to the hot-mix asphalt plant that <strong>Extraco <\/strong>manages in the Chorente industrial area, in Allariz (Ourense).<\/p>\n<style>\n\t\t\t#gallery-1 {\n\t\t\t\tmargin:
