This is one of the R&#038;D initiatives in which Extraco participates,selected in the call for R&#038;D grants <strong>Conectapeme 2016<\/strong> ofthe Galician Innovation Agency <strong>(AxenciaGalega de Innovaci\u00f3n, GAIN)<\/strong>by <strong>Xunta de Galicia\u2019s Conseller\u00eda de Econom\u00eda, Emprego e Industria,<\/strong>which is funded by the European Union\u2019s <strong>EDFR Funds<\/strong> (Project code: IN852A 2016\/178).<\/p>\n<p>Under the name of <strong>\u201cProject Cinderella\u201d<\/strong>, the main goal of this research is to use bottom ashes(produced in Galician thermal power plants) for the production of mortar, concrete, precast elements and bituminous mixes,allowing the valuation of this industrial waste.<\/p>\n<p>Along with Extraco three other Galician companies develop this initiative,in collaboration with two research groups from the <strong>universities of A Coru\u00f1a (UDC)<\/strong>and<strong> Santiago de Compostela (USC)<\/strong>, specifically the Construction Group GConsfrom UDC\u2019sHigher Technical School of Engineering of Roads, Canals and Ports and the Civil Engineering and Marine Energy Research Group(GICEMA) from Lugo\u2019s Higher Polytechnic School(USC).<\/p>\n<p>The project started in February 2016 and will continue its development until November 2018.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.extraco.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/CARTEL_CENICIENTA_40.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"CARTEL_CENICIENTA_40\" src=\"https:\/\/www.extraco.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/CARTEL_CENICIENTA_40.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"477\" height=\"337\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A project for the valuation of thermal power plants\u2019 ashes in the fields of civil works and building.
